1. Kate Valdez is one of GMA and GMA Artist Center's most promising new stars. She had an early birthday party last August 18; her actual birthday is August 21.

2. GMA Artist Center organized the birthday event and they decided to hold a sparty at Nail Cocktales in BGC.

3. Kate's big break happened when she was chosen to portray Mira in Encantadia, and that role made her popular and got her a solid fanbase. She decided to treat some of these fans to a mani-pedi for all their support.

4. The host of the event is newcomer Joshua Jacobe, who is also part of the boyband T.O.P. or Top One Project. The members of the boyband won the talent search of GMA called To The Top.

5. As expected, Joshua also sang a song for Kate.

6. Kate ended up singing, too, performing an impromptu duet with Joshua. They sang Keith Martin's Because of You, and made a lot of the people at the venue kilig.

7. Kate's special guest? Her father, Edmond.

8. Edmond, who came all the way from Cavite, gave a touching message for his daughter.

9. Asked for her birthday wish, Kate shared that it is for her and her family to always be safe.
