Freeway recently launched their FreewayxIMAO collection, the brand’s latest for their National Artist Collector’s series. This year they are paying tribute to Abdulmari Imao, who is not just a sculptor but also a painter, ceramist, photographer, filmmaker, and writer. He is best known for incorporating his adaptation of traditional Muslim motifs in his artworks.

And what do you know, his artworks look perfect on clothes. Here are our faves.

1. Perfect for those time when you flaunt your arms, this neoprene overlay top (P1795) features a photo of Imao’s brass sarimanok.

2. Watch the kids stare at this chiffon tent blouse (P1595) featuring the sarimanok and the ukkil.

3. If you’re not a fan of bright colors then you’ll like this black and white off-shoulder ruffle top (P1595) with a sari-fish design.

4. We looove this knit halter maxi sublimation dress (P2195). As in.

5. We love this long back orange top (P1595) because we think orange looks good on morenas.

6. For that extra elegant look, you can count on the poncho-like effect of this layered dress (P2195).

7. This elbow sleeve split side tunic (P1995) is perfect. We love that it’s white and then front and center is this amazing colourful artwork.

8. We can already imagine: officemates would get jealous when we wear this overlay dress (P2195) to the office.
